HELPING HANDS

WE ARE NOT ALONE
We are three priests in the Parish, but we are not alone.
Today is the era of the Lay Apostolate.
All together, we can work wonders;
we are trying.
25 people,
a mixture of mature age and youth, make the Parish Committee.
At the Meetings we discuss plans, offer suggestions,
decide about the future.
Other Associations also go hand to hand.

THE SODALISTS
53 members, are a big help; they direct their activities to the Parish.

 

THE YOUNG CHRISTIAN WORKERS
are just a handful of boys. The social problem is very acute. Plenty to see, judge and act.

 

THE APOSTLESHIP OF PRAYER
has recruited a real army, 643. They keep on bombarding Heaven with their prayers.

 

HOLY FAMILY CLUB
We desire that our Church be not only the centre for our devotions, but also for our recreation. Many evils are kept at bay if our youth is provided with clean and healthy entertainments. This Club with its 62 members has started moving along these lines.

 

HELP THE POOR
Do good to all.  We are like a channel that directs Christian charity. The Catholic Relief Services of the U. S. A. keep our godowns always full.
214 families are the weekly beneficiaries. About 520 children carry home their pots filled up with milk, every day.

 

TITHES FOR THE CHURCH
The priest has to live of the Altar.
Though poor, our parishioners offer their assistance.
The Sunday collection goes up to Rs. 120/-.
The Church Support members bring about Rs. 350/- monthly a personal contribution of willing donors.
